The University of Montana Eating Disorder Training Clinic is a new clinic that provides low-cost and evidence-based eating disorder assessment and psychotherapy treatment at an outpatient level of care. We work with Montanan adults, adolescents, and children with eating disorders as well as families. Interested in receiving FREE specialized eating disorder training?
UMEDTC offers three training options for individuals and groups! We offer training online and in-person.
UMEDTC Training Options for Individuals
Licensed mental health providers are eligible for our comprehensive training that includes weekly training and group supervision plus at least one case through the clinic during training.
Brief trainings are a good option for individuals or small groups. This virtual training option includes 4-5 sessions of training for 1-2 hours per session.

UMEDTC Training Option for Organizations
One-time trainings are great for small and large groups! This training option includes a single 1-2 hour training session that provides an overview of eating disorders and/or weight stigma.

Other FREE trainings
A new FREE, online course on edX is available for those looking for more at-your-own-pace eating disorder education! Five weeks of sessions are available starting 4/26! Montana’s Dr. Ruth Weissman (Wesleyan Emerita) created the eating disorder course, with course consultation from UMEDTC director, Dr. Martin-Wagar, and Columbia’s Dr. Kathleen Pike. Sign up below!
